James Mureu is the current National Vice Chairman of Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is a banker by profession having worked in the Central Bank of Kenya for more than ten years before joining the private sector as a businessman based in Mombasa. In his professional experience gained over the last twenty years as a businessman in the private sector he has undertaken investment and trade missions covering all markets in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. All this has enlightened him well in the international corporate culture and the ways of doing successful business in various spots in the world.

Mr. Mureu has vast experience in the imports and exports business having served as a director in one of the most successful logistics company in Kenya before relocating to Australia for five years where he successfully managed to get Kenya’s tea and coffee into the Australian market.

Mr. Mureu is a Businessman, Founder of Master Conveyors Ltd, a reputable logistics company. He is also the former Chairman of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mombasa County Branch and current Chairman of Economic Diplomacy Committee at the Chamber. He was nominated by KNCCI to represent it on the Board of the East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (EACCIA) and was EACCIA Board Chairman till January 2015. He also serves as a board member of the International Chamber of Commerce, local representative office in Kenya giving valuable support to its leadership.
